Flights & transfers
Sofia airport is only an hour away from Borovets and 2.5 hours away from Bansko, and is where we recommend that you fly in to.
Due to the increased number of budget airlines that are now servicing Bulgaria, coupled with the fact that prices can change without notice, we feel the best way for you to get the cheapest deal is to simply book it yourselves.
As a land-only tour operator we do not book flights, so when doing so the main airlines that fly to Sofia are EasyJet (Gatwick, Stansted or Manchester), Wizz Air, Balkan Air, Alitalia, Lufthansa, Germanwings, and even BA can have some good deals if you book at the right time. Recently Aer Lingus have added Sofia to their routes so you can also fly direct from Dublin.
Our recommended airlines are Wizz Air (London Luton) and EasyJet (Gatwick, Stansted, and Manchester). Please note that Wizz Air apply charges of £12 booking fee per person, £42 for checked in luggage (return), and £68 for sports equipment. EasyJet charge £32 return for each item of check-in luggage and £60 for sports equipment.
To get you from the airport to Borovets we can organise a car or minibus for you. As you enter the arrival lounge at the airport you’ll see a driver with your specified name on a plaque. The driver will then take you straight to your apartment. If you’ve booked a ski package you’ll be met by your instructor who will offer a complimentary drink, whilst he shows you the resort. Just let him know when you would like your return transfer and he’ll arrange it. Again, you don’t have to pay anything until you arrive in Bulgaria.
