Donchev Hotel, Bansko ***

The Donchev is aimed at those people looking for a good budget ski holiday that doesn’t break the bank. The rooms are basic but very clean and a good size and receive a maid service each day. There is no kettle in the rooms so a number of people do take their own.

Breakfast is adequate for most people and consists of cheese & ham slices, tomatoes, cucumber, toast, tea and coffee. The evening meal does not rate highly amongst our guests so we’re not able to recommend the half-board option. Instead try some of the numerous restaurants between the hotel and the centre of Bansko.

The Donchev is situated about 10-15 minutes walk from the resort centre although there is a free minibus service as an alternative. This journey takes about 5 minutes or you can ask reception to book a tax if you prefer which costs less than £3.
